Is anyone planning to or created a shared online photo ablum that guests could upload their digital photos to? I remember reading a post about this not too long ago but I can't seem to find it. I'm just wondering how you told your guests about it and if a lot of people actually uploaded photos from the wedding.

I haven't seen it done.. but I think it's a GREAT IDEa.. you could type up little cards to leave at the table asking them to upload to photobucket or snapfish, or wherever you choose.. I know I would certainly do it as a guest at the wedding

I actually did this!!!!!!! I set up a Snapfish account and set up tent cards on each table with the information on it...
I included the website, username and password so that everyone could upload their pics. it worked out great and now I have a gazillion pics of my wedding
to make it easy to remember, I used my wedding date for my password, so in your instance, you would use 'marchone08' (just a suggestion)
I made up business cards with our e-mails, to put on the tables. I'm going to have my mom put them on the tables for my Bridal shower also.

THANK YOU!!! I was playing around with vistaprint and working on business cards for the table so that way people can take it with them with an easy to remember password (great suggestion)

I will be printing up the information on little tent cards that will be put on the tables at the reception. I may also put something on the back of our program so that there is redundancy.
It's very easy to set up the group rooms. You need to have your own accounts on each of these services to do a group room. We have a specific gmail email account that is for the wedding, so we signed up for new accounts under that address and then followed the instructions for 'sharing'/'group rooms.' VERY easy to do.

do guests really upload their pics?? i have a snapfish account (and love snapfish!) But its time consuming especially when the files are large!

So when you do it this way do you have to give out a password? Or do you have to invite all your guests before they can post? Can you tell I'm new to this?
