Just curious but is anyone else trying to keep their dress under wraps (with the exception of this board )?
I sort of want to not share the pictures of me in my dress with my friends/family but can't decide if I'm being absurd. I feel like if I send it to my friends that ask that it will take away from it on the big day.
Ridiculous?

Im keeping mine a secret. I had barrowed it down to 3 and asked my BM for there opinions. But now that ive said yes to the dress, my parents and fmil were w me so they know what i chose but only told my MOH which one and am keeping it a secret. This board is public so I wont post on here as well. I want everyone to be surprised when they see me that day.

Mine is a semi-secret. My mom, grandmother and BM's know what it looks like.
I had it on here so the girls could see but I took it down so snoops can't see it!

I really don't want a ton of people seeing my dress before the wedding, either! I agree that it will take away from the big day. Not that it would be any less special when everyone sees you in the dress that day, but I honestly think it's much more fun to keep it a surprise!

funny you should ask! I showed my mom, and bridesmaids (including my sisters), FMIL, FH's aunts, and a couple others when I realized that I should really stop or everyone at the wedding will know haha. so I stopped. this weekend one of FH's aunts COMPLETELY blindsided me at breakfast with the family (FH included) and says 'oh your dress is the one BLAHBLAHBLAH right?' I tried to play it off and say no, uh uh nope, and she was like 'oh it wasn't the one you showed me?' and FH chimes in with 'I'm not supposed to know anything' and she goes 'oh I don't know what traditions are honored anymore..'
UMMM how about you just dont say anything then? luckily FH said it all went right over his head but just realized she was saying something about the dress. but i am still so mad at her. Mind you I showed her months ago because she asked and I specifically told her not to say anything. now i'm considering printing out a fake picture and showing it to everyone so they dont screw it all up.
exactly!! only my MOH and BM have seen it on me and i keep opening my mouth to tell everyone that i've found it. now i'm trying to cover my tracks and don't want to show them pics. my fault for opening my big fat mouth.

I showed it to my coworker (well, not that I said YES just yet but I may) and she loved it. I also showed it to my dentist's office this morning bc they happened to ask and I just couldn't keep it together. lol
I dont plan to show many other people besides FMIL and my Mom.

My two MOH's were with me when I selected it, and I sent pics to my aunt since she was nice enough to offer to purchase my dress, then I felt I needed to send it to my other aunt as well, then I sent it to FMIL b/c I didn't want her feeling left out. That's it, not showing it to anyone else now!!!!! LOL

I've only shown my BMs, my two aunts, my mom/dad/sister, and FMIL that is it!! I have not shared on the boards and I will not be sharing with anyone else. I know this sounds vein but I want people to be in awe of me

My mom is the only one who has seen me in the dress and I am going to keep it that way. I have shown some people what the dress looks like from the website but they won't be able to get the real feel of the dress because they have not seen me in it. I want everyone to be surprised on my wedding day.
