Sharing some good news!

Hi everyone - I feel like I'm betraying my LIW roots for not ebing online as often as I used to be! I've really cut back on my daytime at work LIWing ever snce my job sent out an internet ettiqute/usage note - so I've been playing it safe! In the meantime, I really miss chatting with everyone during the day, so I just wanted to share some good news!

Long story short, my FIL has a friend who works at Time Magazine and since he knows I've been looking for a new job - he passed on my resume to him! So, he calls last week and tells me that after looking at my experience, that I have a good shot at some current openings within TimeWarner - all I had to do was register my resume on the TimeWarner website, and when I apply for a job to let him know and he'll see what he can do to help me out!!! !!!!!! I'm so excited and even a little scared to think of the possiblity of a new job!!! HOORAY!!! So I set everything up online last week, and this weekend I will be applying for a few open positions... I also found a Publishing recruitment agency here in the city and I also sent them my CV and resume, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!!!! Just wanted to share what will hopefully lead to even BETTER news! I'll keep you all posted!!!

I was just going to post Where's Helena yesterday...We missed you!!!!! Job dust to you, though--and there seems to be somethign going around, I've just been made full-time/permanent with an actual focus to my job and a bit of a raise! Lots of others girls have gotten new positions or promotions in the past few weeks, too. I hope it works out for you! Good luck!

Aww, Farah you are so sweet! It's nice to know I'm missed when not here, now I feel all warm and fuzzy Congrats on your promotion too!! I'm very excited and scared at the the prospect of starting something new after being here for almost 5 years, but it's really time for a change now - so I hope that new job dust that's been helping everyone else is just as gracious to me in my new search!

I'm pretty much open at this point to any Editorial related positions in Publishing. I just don't want to take a step backwards, since the main reason for the new job search is for more responsibility and more money
