aww chicka, I'm sorry. I would be disappointed too. I'm only having a MOH and BM. Neither can say no since my MOH has already been warned forever ago and my BM is my FBIL! lol I'll kick his little *** if he says no.

Lol at least u have ur bridal party...

ask the other girls and you'll be fine. Honestly I cant deal w BM drama so I eliminated it completely.

I know it hurts now but it would have hurt even more if she wasnt able to live up to the responsibilities of a MOH. The only person I could possibly think of to be my MOH was my daughter. I couldnt think of anyone else that I could depend on more.

i thought you had posted earlier about potentially having two MOH and one BM?
if one MOH said no, did your other friend say yes to be your MOH?

i'm so sorry!

Well the other possible MOH has So many things going on with her... She is so busy.. we barely talk/text bc she is so busy and having 'personal problems' I have always try to b there for her but she does not listens to my advices...

I dont know if she still wants to be my MOH bc she is always busy not having time for me... So how will she find time for wedding prep?

Dont feel bad i have a friend that asked her cousin to be her MOH and then cusin said no bc she didnt like her FH and so she asked her other cusin and she said no bc she didnt want to get involved with my friend and her other cusnins fight,so the she asked her old friend and even she was like do you think your cusin will be made at me. But the friend wound up doing it.

Do you have any cusins you can ask. or does he have any sisters.

That's awful. It's meant to be an honor. BUT, look at it this way, at least she was up front (which could not have been easy for her) and said she's involved in another wedding. Maybe she just feels that you deserve more help than she'd be able to give. It's probably going to save you a lot of angst in the long run! But it still hurts!

awwwwww . maybe she isnt able to handle the responsibility of being a MOH. She prefers to be a bridesmaid because its a little less footwork on her part.. at least She still want's to be a part of your day and at least she was honest with you. Many girls take the part and then they dont do what they are supposed to do because they have other agendas/not enough funds or are just too busy. Dont be mad at her just talk to her. I would def try to understand from her perspective.

Maybe she thinks that if she was your MOH she has to throw you a shower and stuff so maybe she cant afford. try to bring it up again and be like the only thing you have to do is stand there and sign the paper!

Thats horrible but if she doesn't want that honor , then give it to the next close friend in line. Don't get stressed over that..

im so sorry you have to feel that!! thiings happen for a reason and maybe it wasnt meant to be that she be your MOH. you said yoou have another girl you wanted to ask too right or three was it? you do want your moh to be helpful and avaliable and im sure it really really hurt to hear her say that! dont get urself stressed out...it will all work out

i'm so sorry sweetie... everyone loves the title, but not everyone can handle the responsibilities, so maybe it's a blessing is disguise. if she can say all that stuff about how she wanted to be your moh and not stand true to those words, then you can only imagine what else could have happened during the wedding planning process..

ITA! Couldnt have said it any better myself!!

Hey mama! You said she hinted about the expense related to the other wedding; would you be willing to pay for her BM dress as the gift? Its an added expense but if that was her only excuse and If you really want to have her be you MOH it's worth asking. Granted there are so many other expenses and they always say 'Give a mouse a cookie and he'll ask for a glass of milk'... so its just something to think about. I'm so sorry to hear that this happened but perhaps you can look to your other Bms or maybe family members that will truly be able to dedicate the attention and time you deserve on your wedding day.
