Did anyone or is anyone blocking out rooms at the Sheraton for their wedding. We went to look at it and I think it is really nice.

Re: Sheraton Hotel in Hauppauge
FH works there and I was thinking on blocking rooms there as well. I have been there a few times and I thought it was pretty nice. Rumor has it they are changing up the lobby bar area, but I don't know when that is happening. I original selling point was that the lobby bar was there if people wanted to hang out after the wedding but FH told me it closes at 1 am normally, so we have been looking around for a hotel that has one open later.
If you are staying there yourself on your wedding night stay away from the bi level suite, just a heads up. HTH!

I went there to get a quote, but we didn't book there. We ended up booking at Windham in Commack...they had a free shuttle which was def. the selling point. I actually have all my Mary Kay meetings there on Tuesday nights and the employees are always really helpful!! It seems like a very nice place.

We stayed there after our wedding, it was very nice. We booked the 1br loft. There was a great living room area, a bathroom downstairs, then a spiral staircase leading up to the bedroom and an additional bathroom up there. It was a little pricey, but it was definately nice, and they give you complimentary champagne, and chocolate covered strawberries. But yes, the bar closes around 1am. Only bad point. Yet, I had a day wedding so by one I was ready to go back to my room! GL!

Re: Sheraton Hotel in Hauppauge
We booked our block of rooms there and stayed their our wedding night as well.
Everything went really well with the blocked rooms and they gave us a great price.
We looked at the suites when we were blocking the rooms but felt that the regular rooms was plenty big and didn't want to spend the extra money on the suite. On the night of our wedding, the regular room was just fine. Plenty of space for all of our stuff, and it was located at the end of the hall so you didn't hear anyone in the hallway.
Even though we didn't book the suite and just booked the regular room for us, there was champagne and chocolate covered strawberries waiting for us when we got there...
I would definitely recommend them!

Can you book rooms that far in advance? I went to a hotel to book a block of rooms and our room for the night (wedding is next september) and they said they couldn't do it that far in advance.

I think they usually say you have to wait until you're a year out...

Re: Sheraton Hotel in Hauppauge
We just went there 2 weeks ago to check the Hotel out and the Sales Manager said we can block out rooms at anytime. We have an appointment in 2 weeks to sign the contract.
