Sheraton in Maui?

Anyone stay there? Any reviews? FH and I are thinking of booking here for our HM

We're staying there on our honeymoon. The travel agent (and my guidebooks) spoke very highly of it. The agent said Kaanapali beach is a beautiful area to stay on. The guidebooks gave it the same rankings as the Fairmont and the Four Seasons on Maui, which we also considered.

Which travel agent did you use? I might just book through expedia, but if I can get a better rate from a travel agent, I would love to go that route.

We stayed there and loved it!!!!!!!

The view from our room was amazing, pic:

It's the best beach and snorkeling on the whole island. Beautiful sunsets.

The staff and food were good too. The drinks in the pineapple are yummy

Go to Mama's Fish House for dinner, it's one of the best restaurants on the island.

we stayed in the kaanapali beach area which was beautiful and fairly central to all activities......i agree, mamas fish house was awesome--definitely make sure you get to eat there!

We used Elena at Liberty Travel on 57th/3rd in Manhattan, but there are tons of Liberty's out there if this is out of your way and I'm sure they all get the same rates. I would check it out - we got a free night.

ETA: I would recommend going through a travel agent - it might save you some $ and they put in notes that you're on your honeymoon, so you'll get free champagne and possibly a free room upgrade too (all my married friends who went this route got a room upgrade when they got there).
