Sheraton Smithtown or Holiday Inn Plainview?

Ok. taking a poll on which hotel to block rooms in.

1) Holiday Inn Plainview. www.hipplainviewny.com

Rate for next July is $121. Nice hotel. seperate lounge area where Band plays til 2:30 and they will accomadate us by keeping it open later for our wedding guests. Closer for guests coming in from JFK/LGA

2) Sheraton Smithtown.

Rate for next July is $135. Hotel is nicer and larger. Lounge is in the main lobby and open til 2am they will accomadate us to keep it open later. Closer to Islip and provides transportation for people coming in from McArthur Airport.

Reception Hall is pretty much in between both hotels.

I am staying at the Holiday Inn the night before and after my wedding. I Booked my Block of Rooms there also. I have one of the Suites!!!
It is Really Nice there. I love the Restaurant/Bar area.
I would go with them. Great Prices!!!!

I've been to many of functions there and stayed in their rooms and it's really nice!!!

I have never been to the Sheraton. We used the Holiday Inn in Plainview for our OOT guests, wedding night and day after brunch.

The service was great. We had planned to use the bar/lounge that you mentioned for the after party, but we wound up hanging out all night by the pool instead. It was great because it was just us.
