I'm using them and I think their work is amazing. I think, to each is own with a photog. I haven't gone to a studio where I thought their photos were terrible. But when I saw Sherwoods work I knew I wanted them to do my wedding. They are a bit pricey though. But were able to work within my budget.

I meet with them thinking I was going to book with them on the spot but when I saw that they offered very little in their packages and charged extra for every little thing, FH and I said NOOOO WAYYYY. Both video and photo for the package I wanted would have cost me 9k

yes i understand what i mean is that there is a big difference between alot of photojournalistic pictures...yes they might be candid but at the same time it can look like just a surprise shot or it can look artistic and really telling a story. I see pics that some photographers say are photojournalistic but it wont be the same as a true photojournalistic photographer, you can see the difference in pictures...I mean i can take a pic of my friends when were out when theyre not paying attention but it wont have that feel to it.

Taking pics of ppl posing is very different than taking PJ pics and really capturing moments, that is something you really need to have an eye for. To know when to capture moments and what moments are worth capturing. A bunch of candids wont do the trick, but candids that catch real emotion is very different.

I agree with Denise. There is a BIG difference b/w the two. We are having two photographers. One traditional and one PJ.

I am using them and I have no regrets so far. I don't think they are overrated you can see the difference in quality from other photographers. Another thing I loved about them was the fact that they work with your budget. They may have set priced packages but allot of people customize. I'm sure many photographers do this but they came highly recommended and Her proofs were amazing. I think if you go to their studio and love their style of work you cant go wrong.

we dealt with luigi and ithink tony.
My FMIL knows them for a lonnnnggg time...they are really really nice!

They told me if i send anyone there, they will take care of them

We met with Luigi and he didnt really impress us esepcially when he gave us the price its like he just threw a number out there with no paperwork or anything. My FSIL went with her bestfriend who knows them (she used them for her wedding) and she met with Tony and she had a completely different experience. I found it strange how one of them is more proffessional and tells you different things then the other.

they are expensive and you dont get that much!

BTW, anyone can do photojournalism...dont let them talk you into buying a package..any trained and skilled photographer can do it

GOOD LUCK

GO to martone brothers in the bronx...they are AMAZING

if you tell them I sent you, they will take care of u

honestly i dont know about anyone being able to do photojournalism, they can do candid shots that are similar but you can def tell the difference

I agree you can tell a difference. If they are not a real photojournalist, its usually candids that they take in a similar style as a photojournalist.
