So i'm suppose to graduate in May and registartion is in like 2 weeks. I just realized taht the 2 classes i need interfere with one another They are at the same time and there is only 1 offered. So i dunno what i'm gonna do now. I have to talk to department about maybe doing an individual study or something, i don't want to have to take 1 stupid class in the Fall, I wanna graduate in May !!!!

nope, i already checked. So i would have to wait till the fall for one class.

I don't think so i one of the classes is a 400 lever creative writing class, and the other is Polish 202. They don't offer polish in any other college and they prob. wont transfer the 400 lever course credit bcuz its for my major.
Dam i need to go find out what i can do.

What school is it? If it's a CUNY school but not Queens College, maybe you can take it there. I took 400 level creative writing classes at QC. Maybe they'll let you take a grad creative writing class as an equivalent.

It's for Hunter, I just checked the classes at QC they dont offer a 400 lever Creative Writing course.

It may be a different number equivalent. Maybe Hunter and Queens don't use the same number system but I know I took the highest level creative writing classes as an undergrad at QC - its worth finding out.

that blows... i would talk to your adviser and see what they recommend to do... i have that happing now for my next semester, but i'm not graduating next month, so it's ok... if not.. see if you can take another class that is equivalent to it and maybe if they can waive it for you....

What a pain...if the class isn't offered during winter break see if it is at another college during the break...I had to do that and my college accepted the credit.

i think you can still walk and stuff you 'll just have to tak the class over the summer or something, one of my friends went through the samething.

I had the same issue for next sememster since i graduate in may and my advisor helped me find another class that would fulfill the rquirement... she was like... no, you're gonna graduate, this sint gonna stop you... dont worry we'll figure something out

So i went to talk to my adviser yesterday about my options and my only option is to do an independent study in Polish. So that means i have to write a 10 pg paper in Polish after reading a polish book or two.
It ***** but its 100 times better then not graduating on time, plus there is no actual class for it, so less time spent at school =) . Thank god everything worked out. I'm so relieved now.

good. i did an independen class my last semester, it was real estate, but it was so much easier than actually sitting in class.

I actually just graduated from Hunter this year and had a similar situation. I was able to squeeze into a class but when I was still scrambling I called the close by college called Marymount Manhattan College they have similar classes to Hunter. You might be able to take the course there and transfer to Hunter like I was planning on doing.
