I wanted to do a basket full of flip flops for my guests in case their heels were hurting them and they took their shoes off during the wedding. Then I realized that in January many people will probably be wearing pantyhose. I cannot find cheap ballet flats so my only options are the flip flops or chinese slippers. Would you wear chinese slippers if your feet hurt at the reception?

I think the slippers are your best bet for winter

I wouldn't I personally can't stand those chinese slippers. Flip flops at least people may use them again.

Re: Shoe basket for guests
My wedding is in Oct and i had the same idea....i'm going with Flip Flops since the chinese slippers are really uncomfortable. Hey its a free pair of shoes, if they want them they can take off the pantyhose. Just IMO

Re: Shoe basket for guests
hmmmm I mean I guess if it is strictly for pain people probably won't care what they look like. I don't wear stockings so I guess I am no help sorry, but I know none of my friends would wear them either so just going by personal experience I wouldn't buy them.

I won't be doing a shoe basket and I have never been to a wedding that had them, and if I was a guest chances are I wouldn't take them either. But I guess they are popular to do ?? My choice would be whatever option is the cheapest.

Ive actually never been to a wedding that had one either. What sparked this is I went to a wedding friday and one girl took her shoes off and bought a pair of socks to wear from the attendent bc her feet hurt so bad!!! I NEVER take my shoes off at a wedding, until Friday. I attempted to wear a new pair or Loubutones....and after 3 hrs my feet were screaming!!

I think the Flip flops is better at least you can use them again.

Ooof that must have been a nightmare on your feet. Louboutins are known to be uncomfortable and CL actually designed them as 'bedroom shoes' and therefore not to be worn for an extended amount of time. I can only wear mine for so long until my feet start killing me - the price you pay for beauty.

Maybe don't bother? With the winter, I think flip flops won't get used
