Shoe basket for guests

Original post by Shan2011

I wanted to do a basket full of flip flops for my guests in case their heels were hurting them and they took their shoes off during the wedding.
Then I realized that in January many people will probably be wearing pantyhose.
I cannot find cheap ballet flats so my only options are the flip flops or chinese slippers.
Would you wear chinese slippers if your feet hurt at the reception?

What if you out a basket of shoe things in the bathroom....like a bunch of cushy ball of foot inserts, band aids, etc? So if their feet hurt, they can do something?

I was thinking of doing those little grippy slipper socks? What about those???

I have brought/worn socks to events in the past and did not find them to be too slippery, even with no grips on the bottom!

I've gone to a number of winter weddings and even when it's freezing out I do not wear stockings. Neither do my friends. So flip flops would work for us.

Oh and I'd like to second the stockings plus slipper things. An accident waiting to happen. Especially mixed with alcohol!

I planned to get Chinese slippers in a basket for my guests. Personally- I like them! I keep 2 pairs at work for my feeties!
I know that our generation doesn't really do the stocking thing, but for those that do, I feel like slippers are more comfy than flips then.
Also for winter I think the chinese slippers are more appropriate than flip flops. Although if someone found cheap ballet slippers or those roll ups, I'd totally opt for those!

I can't find ballet or roll ups for under 5 bucks each. Since people may or may not use them I'm looking to do this as affordable as possible. Today I have to visit a principal I'n queens. There is a wholesale slipper place I'n Astoria that I'm gping to check out

I am doing flip flops in March. My thought process is that if they really want comfort, they will lose the pantyhose too!
