Shoe Dilemma

Ugh I am retarded and bought my shoes kind of spontaneously....but now I realize theres a problem... they have pretty narrow heels and we are getting married outside on grass! I don't want to sink into the ground allt he way up n down the aisle, but I love my shoes and they were expensive And chance it will be ok if I just try not to put much weight on the heel while walking?

Will there be a runner on the grass? That might help. I was in an outdoor wedding last summer and definitely had the sinking problem...

I was at an outdoor wedding in heels and it was really miserable. Can you get a pair of flat bottomed shoes for the ceremony and switch to the pretty pair for the reception?

There won't be a runner
I would switch into the nice shoes for the reception, but I plan on buying a pair of dancing shoes (for ballroom dancing)...guess I could always wear the nice shoes for pics and the cocktail hour and whatnot, get some cheap shoes for the ceremony, and then just wear the dance shoes for our first dance?

I had the same issue-I am getting married at OWG and they do not allow runners. I ordered from myglassslipper.com a pair of platform sandals to wear down the aisle. For the reception and picture purposes I will have my Grazia shoes. I made sure to order them as close as possible in height and am having Phyllis alter them accordingly.

We are having ours outside, on a grassy 'knoll' also...and the florist is laying a carpeted aisle runner down for us so we don't sink. Is there a reason why you aren't having a runner?

There's not a real reason why we aren't sing a runner.. I'm not sure where we'd have to get it from...we're getting married in Austria..not sure if aisle runners are very common there. I'll definately check into it, and if its not too expensive it could be the solution to my problem.
