I want to get the shoe dying process out of the way but all I have is a swatch from the dress manufacturer. I can only get a swatch directly from the dress 6 weeks before the wedding. Should I wait or do you think the swatch from the manufacturer will be ok?

I'd wait for the swatch from the actual dress. It takes no time at all to dye shoes - why risk it?

The dye place told me 2 weeks. I just don't want to be chasing around after the girls to get their shoes and try to schedule everything around their fittings.

I would wait. The dying takes a few days to a week...

I'd wait. Sometimes the swatches fade depending on where they've been kept or how long you've had them around.
But you seem to be set on doing it soon, so do whatever makes you happy. The worst that happens is they're not exactly right.
Dying shoes takes no time so you could always do it again if you really have to...
