Shoe dying question

Shoe dying question

My MOH has shoes from David's Bridal that she wore in her sister's wedding last year. They were dyed a light lavender color. She had planned to just have them re-dyed to be the truffle color of her dress for my wedding, but David's Bridal won't do that. Anyone know anyplace that might??? She doesn't want to have to buy new shoes if she can help it - she'd rather get more use out of the original ones. Plus, if she dyes those truffle, she will def wear them again. If they stay purple she is just going to throw them out b/c she'll never wear them again. Thanks, ladies!

I know that Hazel's Shoes (in Bayside) used to do that. But, I'm 99% sure they closed. Why don't you try Sandy's Shoes in Massapequa? Give them a call. Or Craft Shoes in Commack?

Just about any shoe repair shop dyes shoes - Go early because it may be difficult to dye the color you want over a color like your bm has already - as a back up I think Payless has a line of dyeables that are inexpensive.

Thanks girls! I called Sandy's Shoes and they will do it for $20! I guess I sort of thought that since David's wouldn't re-dye, that no other place would, either! Glad I was wrong!
