Do you think this shoe will be practical for walking in? It doesnt have much support on the heel, so I am a little concerned, but love the shoe b/c my name is Debbie and buckle has a 'D' on it!!! =)
Personally, if I don't have a strap around my heel, my shoes go flying forward sometimes.
Could you order them from zappos or something and see how they feel before you make your ultimate decision?

ITA. When I wear shoes like that, my feet slip all over the place, and i can barely walk, let alone dance!

Re: shoe question...
I agree with the other girls....I would need something in the back to hold my foot in place.

Trust me you will need something comfortable to walk around in, stand and dance for hours on end. Remember that you have to manuever the dress around too. Better to get something with an ankle strap or a closed heel.

Re: shoe question...
I made the mistake of wearing shoes like this when I was a BM...the tulle of my dress got caught between my heel and the shoe as I was going up some stairs...ALMOST didn't end well.
