Shoe related question

For those of you who wore fancy shoes for pictures and the ceremony and then changed into comfy shoes for the reception, did you have to get comfy shoes with a similar height to the fancy shoes? I want to do this but I don't want to trip on my dress the whole night. I cannot wear heels the whole night but would like something a little fancier than flip-flops or sneakers for the ceremony. Thanks!

I intentionally bought a pretty small heel so that it wouldn't be that big of a difference between the two... but you could always get platforms flip flops or something so that you can have a higher heel and not drag your dress when you take them off.

I'm going to have my dress measured for length in a week or so, and when I go I'm going to ask the sales lady what she recommends in terms of tailoring the length so it can work with both heels and slippers... I'll let you ladies know what she says

I agree with Sara. I purposly bought shoes with only a 2 inch heel. When/If I change into flats at the reception, it won't be too big of a difference.

I'm wearing heels...I found white flipflops from VS online and ordered them (they have a high wedge) and I'm going to decorate them with crystals. I'm sure there are other things to do, but I thought that was a good plan!
