Re: shoes..
My concern with slippers is that my dress would be dragging on the floor. I ordered platform flip flops from myglassslipper.com

Re: shoes..
I changed into flip flops. My dress dragged on the ground a little bit. In hind sight I would have gone for a platform flip flop or just have been fitted for my Old Navy flip flops and saved alot of money on shoes!

Re: shoes..
I'm not planning to change shoes at all. I just looked for really comfortable shoes I can wear all day. But I would think it's good to find slippers with the same height as your shoes (like platform ones) so your dress doesn't drag too much.

Two things...
1. The bottom of your gown WILL be gross and very dirty by the end of the day. Truth be told, it's a gown and for 10-12 hours (if not longer) it's going to be dragging on the ground so unless you have it hemmed to not touch the floor (which may not look so great) it's gonna be dirty.
2. Bringing both pairs of shoes will help but I think in the long run they really can't alter the gown to work with both b/c it's either going to be too short with your heels or too long with the flip flops that is unless they're the same height or close. Then I suppose they could work something out.

Just be sure that the shoes you're getting fitted with aren't too tall otherwise when you change into your slippers you'll be tripping on your gown.

I'm wearing 1 inch heels - I'm 5'10, and I don't really need anything more than that. So I really shouldn't have a problem - trust me, I thought of that when I was buying the shoes. They had to measure my gown for length when I ordered it because it can't be hemmed (lace), so it's a royal pain in the arse to shorten.

Good deal. I'm 5'9' so I feel your pain with the length thing.
What dress are you wearing? I had a lace hem too.

I actually bought them at Craft Shoes in Commack, but I just did a google search for 'just married slippers' and I found them - here's a link to them on amazon.com! slippers on amazon
I love how they're all fuzzy and squishy - they'll look very elegant with my dress
