has anyone gotten a pair of shoes dyed over another color? like if I have say purple shoes and now want them black, how would they come out?

I am not really sure, it would depend on the fabric. Just take it to some store that does the shoe dying, and ask them if no one else can give you an answer.

A lot of times when i am in weddings and I have had my shoes dyed, if it is not a common color, i have had them dyed again in black. I would bring them to any shoe store where they do dying and ask. For Example. at Sandy's it is 20 bucks to have shoes dyed

Ivory is obviously not nearly as dark as purple but I had my wedding shoes dyed black after they got severely stained by water and mud (stupid wet grass!). They look great.

all of the shoe stores say that dyable shoes can be dyed black after another color, but i haven't yet seen what that looks like

I have not but I am doing this with my day of shoes. They are going from bridal ivory to black. As long as you are going darker, they'll be great !

It will be fine. My sister just had silver shoes dyed brown, and they look perfect.
