I know there have been a bunch of shoe posts, but I am really having a hard time finding shoes. I am looking for a closed toe that is 1 1/2 ' or less.....Any thoughts on a brand to look for? I bought a pair of Kenneth Coles at DSW and they are too tall....Help please.....

I bought my shoes at Rhea Nichols on Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre. They were only $55 and I was very happy with them. They had a 1.5 inch heel, and were closed toe, but slingback style, like this picture I’ll try posting…
wow chmlenger! i didnt actually buy my shoes yet but i want exactly what you got. i mean exactly! like a 1-1 1/2 inch heel, slingbacks! maybe i should go look there. thank you!

Love My Shoes on Rt. 110 in Huntington. I was there over the weekend and they have all the dyeables against the back wall. My sister tried on a few pairs of closed toed shoes with a 2 inch heel.

Try Century 21 on Old Country Rd. They had some beautiful Vera Wangs this past weekend. :)

Here's another vote for Sandy's Shoes. They have a wide variety of shoes, many of which look very similar .. til you try them on. And the help is wonderful .. the lady who helped me remembered everything I had tried on, even while there were numerous other ladies there trying things on as well. I was amazed. They have lots of different pumps, and also have wide-widths, if needed. The shop isn't big, but I found the selection to be! And I felt they were reasonably priced .. don't remember what exactly I paid for my shoes, but I know I didn't flinch at the price. They also have appliques they can put on to 'dress up' your shoes, if you want .. which I did. They came out great. The girls and my mom also went there, and they did a great job with the dying process, too. I brought the swatches in ahead of time, and they had the dye ready and waiting for when the shoes were dropped off, cutting down on the time they had the shoes. They had said it would take 2 weeks to dye the shoes, but it turned out most of the time was needed to make the dye, not for the actual dying process.
I had checked out Craft Shoes .. they are a huge store, but I didn't really feel they had much of what I was looking for ... I wanted a pump, and they seemed to have opened toed shoes, sling backs, .. just too many shoes that were too 'open' for my taste. And I don't like the shoes that come to a point at the toe. I also looked at Payless, and wasn't happy with the selection there, either. They just didn't seem to have much .. at least at the one I went to .. but believe it or not, I don't recall which one I did check.
