My dress is an ivory Demetrios gown. So far the shoes i like the best are dyeable and only come in white. I've never wanted dyeable shoes because i don't want the color to run in case it rains. Would it look ok to wear white shoes with an ivory dress? I'm not crazy about the idea of dying the shoes ivory.

IMO If you are wearing an Ivory gown then your shoes should be Ivory also. I saw a girl do that once and I thought it looked tacky.

It all depends on the shade of ivory. My dress is called ivory, but it's more like diamond white. I'm leaving my white shoes as is, they look fine.

You should have your shoes dyed to match your dress..

I got ivory shoes by Grace. They are not dyeable. It was either ivory or white and matched rather well...

My vote's for ivory but then again I may emphasize presentation more than most.

yes definitely ivory, and you still have time to find shoes to match the dress if you don't want to dye them. Don't rush into it

Found ivory shoes by Coloriffics they match my dress perfectly!

i say neither!!! my dress is an ivory demetrios gown, and i bought these really pretty gold shoes that i'll be able to wear again! (unlike bridal shoes)

I had an ivory dress and I wore gold shoes. That may be an option for you. And you can still wear them after the wedding.

I wish I had thought of gold shoes. My dress has champagne lace all along the bottom of the skirt. Gold shoes would have been perfect. Oh well, at least I did not pay a lot of my current shoes - and I really like them.

i say put them together and see (ivory shoe and ivory dress....like someone else said, her 'ivory' dress was not really ivory!)

I bought ivory shoes on zappos.com that perfectly match my Demetrios Ivory dress.

I didn't want to have to dye them.

You could also go for silver or gold shoes.

I would take a swatch of the dress and hold it up next to the white shoes and see how it looks. That will tell you if you can 'get away' with it.

I think the shoes should match your dress. I had mine dyed to match perfectly.
