Shoppers Village (from 09)

So...

shoppers village is returning for all you Nassau County Girls.

For those of you who don't know.... sorry.
It's was where National Liquadators was on hempt typke in w. hempstead.
It's returning to the same location.

And before anyone asks.... i wonder if it'll smell like pickles!

i used to love that place!!! aren't the pickle people traveling around to craft fairs now? i swear everytime i get a pickle it says the original 'shoppers village' pickle people

I just told FH this and he is soooo excited!!

I used to love that place when i was younger. i saw a charm there that i really wanted for my 16th bday and i still have it. that should tell you how old i am. hahaha

I literally live a couple of blocks or so away from Shopper's!! I am stoked that it is coming back!!!

I heard also that the Courtesy 'Roach'Hotel is going to be torn down, and they are building an apartment complex.....
I can't wait to see that happen!!

Alyssa!!! The real pickle people are at the Western Beef on Woodfield Road, right down the road from Shopper's. Their pickles are soooooo good.

SHOPPERS VILLAGE RE-OPENING UPDATE:
Construction is 60 % complete and we have already signed up over 40 vendors. Everyone is very excited and I thank everyone on this site for all of the positive feedback. When we reopen, we hope all of you will come back for a Shoppers Village Reunion celebration.
Shoppers Village will be open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, just as before, the food court is coming back and so are many of our original vendors including the Air Brush Shop. No word from the Pickle People yet. I think they need to hear from you.
Our planned opening date is May 1, 2009. I will keep you updated. Thanks again for all of your kind words.

Janice, i think i remember WB as a real young kid! is it in W Hempstead/Franklin Square and had a yellow and red awning or something to that extent? i was always in the Floral park/Franklin Square/Elmont area when i was really young. my grandma lived over there along with her friends lol

Is it retarded that i'm really really excited for this to open?

I feel like i'm getting part of my childhood back! lol

Hooray for not having to drive all the way to levittown to go to tri-county!
