short hairstyles for wedding ?

I'm going to a formal wedding this weekend (Tarrytown House). They're close friends of ours and Al is in the groom's party.

So, I've got a fun fancy dress, but I don't know what to do with my hair. This is the first formal event we've had since I cut all my hair off. Its about chin length with shorter layers in the front. It can almost all go up if that's my only option.

Any suggestions? Pictures would be helpful. I was thinking maybe of curling it, but I don't have much experience with that. I'd rather do something myself since I don't have an appointment anywhere.

I have no pics for you , but have you thought of pinning the sides up/back with cute little clips or a comb? Something a little sparkly?

Maybe add a bit of a curl to the hair in the back?

i have chin length brown hair, and I usually just leave it down, even when formal ...
