shortness of breath

Did anyone feel short of breath or like their heart rate got faster more easily when you first found out you were pregnant?

Re: shortness of breath

I definitely did! It has me a little concerned because I'm not sure it's normal, but I have a doctor's appt next week so I'm going to ask him. It probably is normal, just your body using so much energy to make a baby that you don't have much for anything else. I'll let you know what he says.

Re: shortness of breath

i feel shortness of breath when i am walking up stairs. I also experienced rapid heartbeat sometimes. The nurse told me that the heart rate increases because when you become pregnant your blood supply multiplies so as long as you are not having chest pain, it is very normal.
