Should FMIL have started looking???...
For her MOG dress??? FMIL and I dont talk about the wedding AT ALL, but I was asking FH if he finalized some addresses for me and we got to talking about some small wedding details. So I asked FMIL, 'did you start looking for your dress' and her simple reply was 'no'....the wedding is in almost 4 months...shouldnt she have started looking? Am I being paranoid? My mom ordered her MOB dress in January!

I'm in the same situation... don't think my FMIL has started looking yet. Unfortunately, the closer it gets, the more likely she will have to get something off the rack because there won't be enough time to order a dress. Hmmmm...... not sure!
At least my mom already has her dress!!!!

Hey date twin! I have been wondering the same thing. My mother doesn't WANT to try them on yet as she wants to lose 5 lb. Jeeessssh. FMIL is all for going! I think they actually have time though...

She should definitely start looking - although don't worry, she still has time. My FMIL looked for WEEKS (literally) and tried on 100s of dresses before ordering hers (in May) - she paid for the rush fee, just to be safe and it came in a week later! So all that rushes and she has plenty of time.

My FMIL and my own mother still don't have their dresses. I'm getting married a month after you, but they have both started looking. Who knows when they will actually get something though?! I would try to encourage her to start looking - do you know if she is planning to order something or buy off the rack?

Im getting married the month before you....FMIL got her dress in May. My mom gots her in April.

My FMIL didn't get her dress and I'm two months away! But I'm kind of happy about that because I am now 100% guarenteed that she will not be getting the weddding gown (as in white!) that she likes. I don't think she's even got time to order a dress anywhere. She'll need to buy something ready made, I think.

i definitely think so. my FMIL started looking around thanksgiving for our June wedding. and i'm glad she did, because she didnt find one she liked until around New Year's. Then they had to order it and that took about a month to come in. She's had 2 fittings so far and FSIL and I are taking her for another on tomorrow night. It should hopefully fit and be ready for our wedding in 2 weeks!!! definitely have your FH tell her to get her butt in gear!!!

My MIL waited till 2 weeks before the wedding to look for her dress, I was FREAKING out.She got her dress, so I asked to come over and see it, and she said 'you will see it when you see it'.
Well, the day of the wedding she barges into my bridal suite......

Both my mother and FH's mother have already bought their dresses a few months ago - I'd say she should start to at leats look!!!

i am sure she is fine....my friend is getting married in July and her mom ordered her dress in may...they said 6 weeks!!worst case scenario she buys one off the rack in a department store!

My FMIL and I started looking this past weekend for her dress. She's planning on ordering by the end of this month for our Nov 5th wedding. I think she has enough time. Don't stress!

Wow, the same dress...My mom got her dress early (she was just randomly browsing when we went for my dress and found something so decided to get it).
FMIL hasn't started looking yet at all, she was told to wait. Not sure what she's waiting for or how long she plans on waiting but, if she waits until the fall she'll have to find someone other than myself to take her!
