For her MOG dress??? FMIL and I dont talk about the wedding AT ALL, but I was asking FH if he finalized some addresses for me and we got to talking about some small wedding details. So I asked FMIL, 'did you start looking for your dress' and her simple reply was 'no'....the wedding is in almost 4 months...shouldnt she have started looking? Am I being paranoid? My mom ordered her MOB dress in January!

yes!!! she should my fmil got hers 8 months ago and it came in 3 weeks ago
I am in the same situation....I don't think my FMIL has started looking....at least not that I know of. Oh well I know that my mom has hers!!
mom got her dress (off the rack) and my stepmom ordered hers already, i don't think my FMIL has started looking yet. but i think she is just planning to buy off the rack, so no rush
My FMIL ordered her dress in mid April for my July wedding. They said it should be in in the beginning of July. I would give it another month and then maybe have FH speak to her.

absolutely! my FMIL made the mistake of listening to the owner of ONE dress shop who said wait till april for his NEW line to come in so the first week of april we go and its been delayed, mean while the wedding was in less them 3 months and she had nothing!! So we went everywhere, couldnt find a nice dress that was reasonably priced, finally found a really expensive dress, that she couldnt even try on casue it wasnt in her size , but she ordered it anyway b/c we werent finding anything and we had to pay extra for rush order and b/c shes plus sized!! DRAMA!! Luckily it just came in today and thank god it fits and looks great on her, but if she had started looking early she would have had more time and maybe found something equally as nice and not as expensive
You shouldn't be in panic mode yet.....but you know how it goes when planning big events like this...the earlier things get done, the better...to leave some cushion time if things don't go as planned
