Should I...

Should I...

ask the photographer to stay for dinner even though his work will finish after the first one hour of reception? Or, asking is not polite? We are getting the photographer for only 3-4 hours and he will finish by dinner. I hate the idea of him leaving hungry right before dinner starts (7pm ish). Should I ask him what he thinks or assume that he will stay anyway?

Thanks girls!

I think you shoul ask to make sure because you might have to for his meal (it's usually a discounted price though)

Might have to pay for his meal*

Yeah, I would have to pay but not as much. The only thing is that I have to give the reception hall the final count so, I thought I should make sure, but didn't know if it is rude to ask not just assume that he would need to eat as well.

We're feeding all of our vendors, I just feel like for us it is the right thing to do. Most of our vendors will be there all night, your situation sounds different. Do what you feel is best!

PS- some vendors have in their contracts that you must feed them, so you may not have a choice.

I think he should eat, I would feel bad otherwise. How should I ask it?
'Would you like to stay longer and have dinner with us?' or 'We will be happy if you stay and have dinner with us after taking beautiful pictures of us for hours' something like that? I just don't want to be impolite, so please suggest what you think

Tell them before hand that they are playing such an important part in your day that you and your FH would love it if they would stay and enjoy the wedding they helped to make so wonderful.
