I am having my ceremony at the RH, but my cocktail hour comes first, then the ceremony, then the reception. Question? - should I appear at the cocktail hour, I feel like I want to be there but at the same time everyone will see me which will take away from that WOW when I walk down the aisle, and then everyone will want to take pics with me, which will detract from them enjoying the cocktail hour to the fullest. I don't know, what do you guys think?
why is your CH before the ceremony?
That's how Russian weddings are structured...every wedding I've ever been to has this set up. Guests get to eat/drink and then can sit through the ceremony being content, not groggy bc they're hungry. It actually works out really well.

Yes most of the time I never see the bride at the cocktail hour. Thats what I am leaning towards anyway....but I just wanted to hear everyones opinion. Too bad that I'll miss out. =(

OK... gotcha... i thought it was the hall that set it up that way...
i dont know what i would do... i would def feel the same as you... i wouldnt want everyone seeing me before hand... but i would want to go to the CH... good luck
ha ha thats funny! no probably not....oh well I'll tell the photographer take good pics.

I wouldn't want to lose the impact of walking down the aisle. I'd make a BM go get me a bib and a giant plate of food.![]()

I't's your party do what you want. I think all your guests will still be wowed when you come down the isle. Somthing about a bride coming down the isle........you can't hepl but be wowed!

Could you possibly go to the CH with a non bridal dress? So that when you put on the dress for the ceremony there will still be a wow?

I wouldn't want anyone to see me b4 I walked down the isle! I also don;t think I caould eat even if I want to that close to the ceremony I would be too nervous!
I'm Russian too, we're having ours the same way. While the cocktail hour is going on we are going to take pictures with parents/close family and relax a little before the ceremony starts so the guests will not see me until I come down the isle.

personally, i would not attend ch if it was before the ceremony. it would definitely take away from the wow factor of u walking down the aisle.
