My brother has been with his wonderful girlfriend for 6 years. I went e-ring shopping with him last week..so I know they'll be engaged soon. I already have 8 girls in my BP, and I was going to ask his girlfriend to be a reader. Now I'm having second thoughts about asking her to be a BM...I don't want her feelings to be hurt and I do want to show her that I love her and value her in my life. I could still have her be a reader and include her on all the wedding party events. Or, I could ask her to be a BM very tactfully. What do you girls think?

Re: Should I Ask Her?
Well your wedding is pretty soon, She might feel like a last minute add on. I think it is really nice to ask her to be a reader and I am sure she would be very honored to do that.
If you really want her and your dresses haven't been ordered yet and you don't think that she will find it weird to be asked 3 months before the wedding than ask her. But if you don't ask her I do not think you have to feel bad because you did give her a special role

I would ask her...maybe they can put a rush on her BM dress and you can pay for the rush fee? Just a thought

I think she would still be honored if you asked her to be a reader. It's so close to the wedding, you wouldn't want her to rush her dress and everything.

Re: Should I Ask Her?
I'd ask her. It would be a nice gesture, and she is going to be your sister in law....sets a good precedent

Re: Should I Ask Her?
I would definitely ask her to be a BM. Since they are planning to be married, this would be a great acceptance into the family.

If you are close with her ask her to be a BM. If you feel like she might feel like a last minute add-on then just ask her to be a reader.

Re: Should I Ask Her?
I would leave her as a Reader. She knows you care you asked her to be a reader. I dont think you need to make her a BM just because your brother and her might be getting engaged soon.

I would leave her as a reader. One of my readers is very involved with helping my BMs plan.
