When i booked with my church, they told me there is another wedding after mine on that same day. Should I get in touch with that bride to ask her what time she plans on getting to the church and doing things there? Our ceremony is for 1:30 and hers is 3:00. I thought they were kind of close...Also should I ask her if she wants to split the cost of alter flowers and pew bows?

Re: should i ask to share?
My florist suggested this..and honestly its too much trouble in my opinion and we would probably have different color schemes too

You will have so much to think about, incorporating your taste w/hers may be disaster.

It doesn't hurt to contact her. What will it take.... only a few minutes to figure out if your tastes are the same. Think of how much money you will save!
P.S. My mom did this years ago. It worked really well for her. 25 years later the lady moved in NEXT DOOR!!!! They had no idea who the other bride was until they got to talking about how long they were married and where and stuff. I think that is really funny!

hmmmm, that makes me want to ask the priest if anyone will be having their ceremony before ours. I'm at 3pm, so there must be one in the AM. I'll have to check. I think it's a great idea to contact the other bride. You can always do neutral colors like white and ivory flowers.

I would get in touch with her. Even if you have different tastes in flowers, pew bows are generally plain white tulle, and you could certainly share that cost.

I think thats a good idea, bc you are just going to end up throwing the flowers out or leaving them there anyway.

I think it's worth it to at least try. You may want to phrase it in a way that does not make her feel pressured though. Hopefully it will work for you!

i think its a good idea in theory, but unless you are just going to have all white flowers, it really wouldn't work.
