You're not over reacting!!! They should know better than to double book themselves!!! I would change contracts, get your money back and find someone else!

Re: Should i be upset
Hmmm, my contract with my DOC also says she will attend my RD. I did however clear the date with her before I booked it. I understand why you're upset, and I would be too, but before you fire her check and see if she can send someone from her company that will then be her assistant the day of your wedding.

A similar thing happened to me, and it really upset me, so I just fired her (the situation was a little more complicated than my current simplification). Anyway, who needs that kind of bull*hit from someone you're paying to do a job, and so close to the wedding day. It's unprofessional and I wouldn't let her get away with it.

I would be upset. however I wouldn't let it get to me. I agree with Kerie... maybe she could send an assistant. Otherwise, i would see if she would drop her fee somewhat, since she isn't fulfilling one of her obligations.

She just got back to me and wrote this:
She would only be able to attend if she didnt have another wedding...and i should have checked with her before scheduling MY rehearsal And to see if i can reschedule it....i have my family coming from California and Texas...so what am i supposed to do tell them to change the day the come in
Honestly, I never heard a client having to arrange their schedule around their vendors.
