Should i be upset/ Update

I wrote to my DOC to tell her when my rehearsal is going to be...she got back to me and said that she isnt going to be able to attend because she has a wedding that day...that was one of the main reasons why we hired her...it stated on her list of duties was to be at the rehearsal...am i over reacting?

Well she wrote back to me and said that she will send someone to help me with the rehearsal

Is there a way you can talk to her to ask her why she would go ahead and book another event when the contract clearly states she was to be available for your RD?? Did you pay her anything yet? Can you find another one..just in case? I'm sorry this is happening to you!

If your contract states that she will be present at your Rehearsal and she is obviously unavailable, she has broken the contract and you should get your money back. She booked you under false pretenses, not giving you the full story. That to me is plain greedy. She should have been upfront with you from the beginning.

Definitely!

One of the few good things I can say about our DOC is that she made sure she was free that entire weekend for us.

You have every right to be pissed.I say fire her, she broke the contract, if she is not at the rehearsal then what is the point!!!

She sounds unrealiable at best and a liar at worst.

She just got back to me and wrote this:

She would only be able to attend if she didnt have another wedding...and i should have checked with her before scheduling MY rehearsal And to see if i can reschedule it....i have my family coming from California and Texas...so what am i supposed to do tell them to change the day the come in

Well then you can ask her, in your contract does it state that your rehearsal should be cleared with her. Should you also clear your next trip to the bathroom with her as well????????

Her reply is a bunch of bull. I'd like to get her on the phone

does she have an assistant who can attend?

if the contract says she will be at the rehearsal, then the very least she has to do is to send someone from her company!
