Should i be worried

i am getting married august 13th - and i know no one has started planning my shower? My mom can't seem to talk to either of my two MOH's - should i be worried - and my shower has to be in june because July is too close to the Bar

Don't stress over it ! - You have no control over it anyway - it will happen ! and it will get done for you !!

I wouldn't worry about it. Your MOHs may have already started something. You don't know what they may have up their sleeve!

I'm in a bridal party in May and no one has planned anything yet. My shower was the month before my wedding.

the problem is i know what is going on because it can't be a surprise- l live out of state and so do they - my mom is paying for it but wants their input so she has not done much

So if you know you are going to be told when it is, maybe you could make some 'suggestions' to get the ball rolling...

Im sure they'll get it moving along soon, maybe you can let them know which weekends are good for you since its not really a surprise shower. My wedding is in June and I know for a fact my sisters & BM dont have anything planned, it will probably end up being in May.

my wedding is May 20th and my mom and sister didn't book the place until the third week of February! If my mom hadn't gotten on my sisters a$$, it probably still wouldn't be booked ;)

I think you still have a good amount of time though. I would think they'd start looking around May-ish.

I would try not to worry - but if you are like me, I'd give them hints on where and when that would work for you. I gave me sis printed labels for the invites and a list of names to help her also.

Some of my girls live out of state and they called me to ask what date and stuff. I told them that July was off for me too b/c of the bar exam. I *think* my shower might be 8/6 or that weekend. Could your shower be scheduled for the weekend of 8/1 so that you can get over the stress of the exam and have a fun weekend?

i can't imagine having mine after the bar exam and before the wedding - i wil have too much to do - i would rather have it in june so i don't loose time in finalizing everything - i am looking at responses and seat assignments till the Bar is over

I wouldn't worry. My wedding is the 19th and I know my sister and my mom haven't begun planning. I know my shower won't be until the end of June, when my sister finishes school. She lives upstate so she won't be able to be here till the end of June.

My shower is not a surprise either, b/c I'm taking the bar in July also. I made a point of the fact that I needed to give the girls the date (between my last final and graduation) b/c I really didn't want the shower at all during bar prep time. I think you need to remind the girls how important the bar is...and that they really need to work with ur schedule. They will...mine did.
