Ok, I purchased my gown last July, an Eve of Milady dress and it still has not come in. I called the Bridal Salon where I purchased the dress an asked what the deal was and they informed that the dress came in but it had a mark on it and was sent back to the designer to be corrected and the dress should come back in the last week of March or the first week of April. Now, was this lady just blowing sunshine up my as$ (just an excuse) or should I be worried?
As long as I receive my dress my mid April I should be fine right? I do not know what to do. My plan B is to just go to Estelle's and buy a gown but even then I know it will probably have to be ordered too. Another option (and last resort)would be to go an buy a gown off the rack. This really *****!
I am not nervous...yet...but I am getting there. Am I making myself crazy over nothing?

if it doesn't come in by when she said it will- be nervous!! Thats when you go buy an off the rack vera wang at saks or nordstroms or bloomies! But- give them the benefit of the doubt and dont worry about it just yet. You still have time for fittings and everything. You will be fine!!

Yeah. That's what I will try to do. I am flying to California tomorrow and will be back by the end of next week so If there is no message on my answering machine I will be really disappointed.

honestly alot of designers take up to a year until you receive their dress, so she is probably not lying.

Re: Should I be worried?
When is was thinking about and Eve dress they told me they needed 10 months to make it. I m sure they are just still working on it, Thats a designer that takes longer than others, but I am sure it wiull be there BUT I would keep annoying them about it every couple days so the wont forget and they do everything they can just to stop you from annoying them. I found this to be effective

You still have time, but I'd be calling them every other day for updates or calling the manufacturer directly. I'd be PO'd that they didn't inform that the dress came in and was sent back because it was damaged. They should have told you that a long time ago...

That's why I thought they were pulling my leg. Why didn't they let me know right away the dress came in but it had to be sent back. Why did I have to call and find out? And further more why would the designer even THINK of sending out a damaged dress?

Re: Should I be worried?
They definitely should've told you. Sometimes I think these bridal salons place the order later than they claim to, especially for brides who shop a year or more in advance. I heard they don't want to have them laying around the store too long before your first fitting. I just wish they'd be straight then and give you real dates. Definitely keep checking in.

EOM dresses take a long time to come in. You still have time though, I wouldn't be worried. As long as you have a few weeks for fittings you should be fine.

i ordered my eom gown in the beginning of June, and it came in mid-february, so it does take some time to come in

They definitely should have told you that it came in damaged. Just be a pest and you'll be amazed how fast things can happen.

they should have called you, maybe you should call and ask what happens if it is not in by early April to put pressure on them

Re: Should I be worried?
i would be on the phone everyday with them until it comes in.... I had something similar happen to me--- i had ordered in sept and it was supposed to arrive in Feb-- and it was the wrong dress!!!!! so they had to re-order a new one and have it rushed to me ASAP-- ( they absorbed the cost of course) and it didnt arrive tl June... my wedding was July. trust me -- they bent over backwards to accomodate me, even fitting me appropriately the week of he wedding-- and pressed and stored it for me til the day before....
you ultimately represent the store-- so they dont want any flack over bad business--- just keep on top of it... YOU WILL GET IT IN TIME!!!

Re: Should I be worried?
If you don't get it by next week tell them you want it rush delivered - my friends gown came in torn and they would able to send it back and get her a new one in 3 weeks.

I would give them another 2 weeks and if it is not in-I would really start to worry. Definetly have a plan B ready.
