that they didn't 'get' the invitation!! Sorry for the vent but my FMIL has this chastising tone to her voice.

Re: Should I believe guests when they say...
That's tough because the USPS has been known to loose mail so it's hard to say. One of my guests never got her invite so i had to resend hers.

Anything is possible. I know my shower invites went out and my sis inlaw didn't get hers.

Re: Should I believe guests when they say...
It's not that uncommon with wedding invitations, especially if you had your invites calligraphied or printed with a difficult-to-read font. The mail system is mostly computer, but also humans, and errors can be made. Sometimes they get delivered to neighbors, etc.
I don't know why they'd lie about not receiving it. Hopefully it can all be cleared up quickly.

the USPS loses things a lot so it's possible... I would just re-send them!!

Re: Should I believe guests when they say...
How many guests said that?? I had one who never received it, but she informed me even before our RSVP date.... I totally believed her because she wanted to go- and showed up
I would just send another invite out

I agree, its a tough situation... I can tell you, I invited 180 people and I'm VERY anal, so all the addresses were checked and rechecked several times and out of all of the invites I sent every one made it to its destination except one, because my Mom gave me the wrong address. That invitation was returned to me and I switched the envelope and resent it to the correct address. We sent a lot to Europe and Canada too and had NO issues. If invites did get lost they will likely be returned to the return address you printed on the outer envelope so I guess just wait and see if you get any back...

Re: Should I believe guests when they say...
2 of my invites didn't make it, 2 of my relocation cards didn't make it.
One of my RSVPs came back ripped in half but I got both halves. lol

i guess you can never know for sure but can only hope people wouldn't actually lie n say they didn't get one....if you don't want to go, rsvp no....don't make me send out another one and waste more $ on stamps!!
