I'm going to Cancun on Wednesday for 3 nights. Should I bring my E-ring??? It's not insured so I guess I shouldn't but I feel so naked without it. Everytime I look at my finger when I'm not wearing it I freak out for a second thinking that I lost it.

I'm in the same boat as you. but if it's not insured ... I don't think I would. Just relax and enjoy your vacation; you don't want to worry about your ring in your hotel room while you're at the beach (or, if you wear your ring TO the beach, about it getting lost in the ocean).

Well I got engaged while I was on a cruise. He did it on our first night there and I quickly became afraid of having my e-ring while on vacation. Especially when we stopped on our excursions. But I kept it on, in turks in caicos I went in the water with it on, but I don't swim and I only went in low water so it was ok. I also went on a catamaran in bermuda and we went snorkeling, yeah i snorkel even though i don't know how to swim lol. I took my ring off for that but i put it in my bag that i had with me and left it on the catamaran, we were with other people and they held my bag for me since they didn't snorkel.
Just have to be extra careful if you take it with you. I think i was checking every few minutes, i was so paranoid.

Hey I got engaged on a cruise too! I guess I'll just leave it a home where it's nice and safe but I'll miss it

Oh you did thats great. Yeah I wouldn't suggest leaving your ring in a safe at a hotel in cancun. Most other places I would say is fine but I know people who had their stuff stolen out of their safe in cancun, it was such a mess. If you did bring it with you, you would have to keep it on at all times. Depending on what you will do there it might be fine.

Well, I plan to go out clubbing and I plan to to swim with the dolphins so maybe it's not the best idea...You know people who had things stolen out of the safe???? Wow, what am I supposed to do with my money, cell phone and other things??? I don't want my things stolen Do you know what hotel that happened in??

Yeah you are probably better off. Yeah and they had left all their jewelry and alot of money in there. Hmmmm I am trying to remember the name of it and it's not coming to me right now. If I remember I will let you know. Maybe crystal something or something with an 'A' sorry I know that's not much help. It was also most likely an inside job, the door wasn't broken into or anything like that.

Hey girls, i'm another one who got engaged on a cruise!! I left it in the safe while I was at the pool and on my excursions. Mine is insured though so I didn't worry as much.

i brought mine on my HM to Mexico... didnt have a problem... you can always lock it up in the safe too, but honestly, i never took it off my finger...

I wouldn't take it if it is not insured. But if you will feel naked maybe you can get a diamonique ring.

Buy yourself a cheapie ring (Kohl's has some nice inexpensive ones) until your's is insured.
Not sure what your ring costs, but think of it this way... Don't do anything (or leave it anywhere) that you wouldn't leave that amount of money. Would you leave $7500 dollars in your hotel room safe? Then don't do it with your ring.
