Should i call or wait?

I have a friend (we'll call him G) who was invited to our wedding with his new wife (whom i've never met). They came to the ceremony but then didn't show up to the reception.
I found out from another friend that the woman wasn't feeling well (she's pregnant) so they left after the ceremony and that G had felt really bad about it and would call me later and would be sending his gift.

Well, its now 3 1/2 weeks later and i haven't heard anything from him (no gift either).

Should i call him? He's not someone i talk to that frequently, so it would be pretty obvious that i'd be calling to find out what happened to him.
If not for another friend who happened to notice, i never even would have known why they left..
Was that rude of him not to call me after?

I don't think it is rude that he did not call.

I'm thinking he is probably a little preoccupied with his sick pregnant wife to think about calling you.


I say unless you are calling to check on how his wife is doing, leave it alone.

i agree completely. not rude if he left for sick wife, and wait to call...people are busy this time of year...JMO

I agree. His wife was sick because she is pregnant that is a top priority.

Unless you are calling about his wife you shouldnt call just because they havent...

I dont agree with them for not calling you and it being a 'busy time of the year' right now is no excuse either.IMO

If his wife was sick...I understand him wanting ot be there with her..but if she is okay now and everything with the baby is fine..they should of called.


ETA: I know I would of if you were my friend...

I wouldn't call... it may look like you are trying to find out about the gift!

I would leave it alone... especially if he is not someone you talk to frequently!
