I would wait until you make your final dinner choices with the caterer and know how many you will need. But you could start working on layouts or designs now.

I would say yes!!!

I had my menu on paper for months, then I went to my hall a month before had a few more samplings of food and changed my mind on a few items.

A month to 6 weeks before is fine.

way too soon for food choices, infact I dont thing your catering hall would even talk to you about choices. They will probably tell you they will call you 6 weeks prior to wedding.

My wedding is this Nov and they dont even want to talk to me yet!
