I was planning to do OOT bags for guests, but FH, FMIL, and my mom all say they're a waste of time and money. I also have a dilemma in that guest are staying at 3 different hotels, but only one was blocked under our wedding (the others all booked on their own). What do you think? Waste of time, or an appreciated treat for OOTers?

it depends....
in our case, everyone will be at 2 hotels, both within walking distance of shops, restuarants, our apartment, and all wedding stuff... so I intend to do OOT'er bags with toiletries, snacks, and most importantly-a map of the village with all highlights...
But, if driving is a must, like at most LI hotels, it may be less necessary. People can drive around and explore....
I do think the drinks and snacks are likely appreciated.... I also tacked in some really nice toiletries.... but that's likely not important.
