Should I feel guilty for staying home today?

Should I feel guilty for staying home today?

DH and I woke up to no heat (for the 3rd time this week) and one of us had to stay home for the plumber....well, the plumbers were here and gone (fixed the problem -hopefully for good!) and it's 9:10 and I could technically go into work...but its cold and I don't want to take the train. And it's Friday!!!!

I had a few things to do today, nothing that couldn't wait until next week. But I feel guilty!

Nah, that's what personal days are for! As long as your place warms up quickly, enjoy the day. Get your errands or whatever done and enjoy the weekend.

And after your trip home last night, I wouldn't be looking to get on the LIRR or subways.

Let go of that guilt and enjoy the day

See, 'guilty' and 'staying home' should never be in the same sentence, as far as I'm concerned. Forget about the things that you need to do...take some time to warm up and stay inside. What's the point of having your heat fixed if you're just going to go outside into the cold?

Ya feel me?
