should i get dh the gift he really wants??

playstation 2-

my hesitation- we are saving for a house, we agreed that we werent going to really exchange big gifts- but i asked what he really wanted if we were exchanging big gifts and he said ps2.

its our first christmas married- i want it to be special, should i get him this or not- money is tight but the smile on hubbys face might be worth it what do you guys think.

Here's my 2 cents

If you agreed to keep it small - I would
we agreed this year to keep it small, and much as I would like a printer and I know he would like a new driver for golf, we made the decision together, and we are sticking to it

When is his birthday?

I think you can get PS2 used at Blockbuster for a cheaper price..

It's our first Christmas married too - we wanted to keep it small as well. however, I ended up buying him a digital camera anyway.

Go for it...i just conviced my cousin the same her husband wanted it to....my DH gets SOOOOO much use out of it!! he loves it,,, the only thing that is bad is the price of the games.//

blockbuster had a promostion but it, and you get a free remote (cause it doubles as a DVD) and you get five free rentals

Kb Toys had a deal, free carry case and a free controller (however if your DH has ps one, the remotes are inerchangable)

there was a store that was giving away two free games (older ones, but hey its free) i think it might me EB at roosevelt feild but im not sure...

Antoinette, I bought my husband PS2 for a wedding gift and he was like a little child. He loves it and I love it for the DVD! Think of it as a gift for both of you for the DVD player as well!! 2 in 1!

I say go for it! FH wanted XBOX so badly last year and I got it for him and he loves it! Actually, it's become an obsession between him and his friends--lol good thing all his guy friends are the boyfriends of my best girlfriends!! LOL

Anyway,I know BJ's has an awesome bundle pack going on on right now for PS2--i think it's $289.00 for the system, 2 controllers, and a couple games!

Hope I'm not a bad influence!! HHHA

Definitely go for it!! FI LOVES his ps2 - and it keeps him out of my hair when I'm trying to get stuff done.

Costco's has an awesome deal going on - I believe it's $180 - includes console, 2 controllers (so the both of you can play - I love the driving games) and either 2 or 3 games (kinda old, but who cares).

ok so I GOT IT!!! good thing because hubby gave me his present yesterday- beutiful diamond earrings!!!!! i havent given him the ps2 yet- im making it as if i didnt buy him anything them im going to surprise him after he unraps everything else.

I was in the same position...we said presents under $50 this year...but he really wanted a new suit, so I got him one and he really wanted a new watch so I went a little crazy and got him a Movoda...we opened presents last night bc we have so much running around to do...and the look on his face was SOOOO worth it! I say go for it!!

You can give him something else, and in a card, a pix of the PS, with a nice note saying its on its way. He will appreciate it when he gets it. As long as it comes from you he will be happy
