should i get the plasma tvs & zap photos?

I'm thinking of getting the plasma TVs and zap photos added to my DJ package ... is it worth the extra $$$?

ETA: we'd also have a photo montage if we get the plasmas

Ditto. We didn't get either. We did get some funky lights though.

Personally, I think it's a waste. I'm not getting it, never saw it before the last wedding I was at, and depending on where you were sitting you couldn't even see the screen, or people weren't paying attention.

We are personally not getting it. The only good thing about the zap photos is that's pretty much an additional photographer taking pictures for you because you get a CD of all those shots taken throughout the night. But I agree that depending on where the TVs are and the layout of your RH, some people may not be able to see them anyways and I feel that if you are out there tearing up the dancefloor, you are not really looking at the screen or even realize it's there. JMO.

We got both and loved them. Everyone at the wedding loooved the montage. I got so many compliments about it. Also the zap shot guy was great. His pictures came out amazing. I liked his pictures more than I liked the 2nd photog that I hired.

it's supposed to be $900 for the zap photos + 2 plasma tvs ... but i got it for slightly less because i don't need the lights that are also included with that package (i have a daytime wedding so that'd be useless)

We didn't get it. I think it is more of a distraction and takes away from the wedding. JMO

same here..i loved how th zap shots were more'action'shots..like people on the dance floor
and they got displayed throughout the night

also i really wanted a montage..it played while dinner was bing served..was only 2 songs but people loved it and were clapping at all the funny pics we put in

There was no question for us - we knew we wanted both going into our DJ appointments.

I love the idea of having another set of photos which you can get on the spot. The montages are a nice gift to the familes as a keepsake especially if you choose not to do video.

I think the screens are fun - just adds something extra. Some of the older people may not want to get up and dance so being able to see the screens and see photos and stuff gives them something else to pay attention to.

Def. some pros and cons to weigh out.

My fiance really wants it. I always enjoyed it at other weddings. It's pretty cool to see pics of yourself on the screen dancing. But I don't know if it's worth getting since it's pretty expensive given our tight budget.

we had the zap shots and plasma.

people loved it. some were amazed that the guests were up on the screen. my one friend said to another friend.... how are you there in the same outfit?? hahahaa
