Should I give FH his birthday gift early?
I bought FH a 40gb ipod back in the day (~3.5 years ago) and it has seen better days and doesn't really work anymore. He's been using an old shuffle that he got free from some poker website, but it's the same songs over and over and isn't nearly big enough for all of his music.
I decided to get him the new 80gb ipod for his birthday (end of Jan) because he's SUCH a huge music buff . He really wants one was planning to get one 'eventually.' I told him I plan to get it for him for his bday (to make sure it's the right one, and so he doesn't buy one himself first) so it's not a surprise anymore![]()
I know some stores are having sales right now (best buy gives $25 gift card if you buy one this week) so I might buy it when we're there tonight... but....
should I give it to him now or make him wait until his birthday? (end of jan). I'd like for him to have something to look forward to and his bday is already close to xmas, but we're taking a long trip this weekend (5 hours drive each way) and it might be nice for him to have it for the trip.
