Should I give in or stick to my guns? (Kind of long...sorry) UPDATED

Should I give in or stick to my guns? (Kind of long...sorry) UPDATED

I am about to finalize our list to send the envelopes to our calligrapher. Here's my issue:

When we made a 'quick list' early in our planning process, FH added his best man's sister (who he used to be friendly with when they lived on LI). We drove to PA (where best man and family live now) to personally ask him to be the best man and we wound up hanging out with his sister also because they all still live with their parents. Anyway, while we were there, the sister is like 'Can I come to your wedding?' I thought that was really tacky and in the back of my mind was kind of like...ummmm NO!

I told FH I didn't like that she asked if she could come and the fact that if we didn't drive up there, he wouldn't have spoken to her anyway (the last time they spoke was when she lived here like about 4 years ago).

We are going to invite the parents of the best man because we are inviting all of the parents of the bridal party but they probably won't come because the dad is very ill.

My question is....should I just invite her to make FH happy or should I stick to my guns and keep her off the list? (Also, she has a son who is definitely NOT invited).

Your thoughts ladies?

ETA:
When she asked if she could come, I just kind of laughed it off and FH didn't say anything....

I guess I'll invite her...

Thanks for the advice ladies!!!!

If you have the room, I would just invite her. I have college friends that I haven't seen in years and I talk to like once a year but I would feel like my wedding was totally lacking something if they weren't a part of my day. So if FH was close with her at one point and it will make him happy if she were invited, just do it.

I think if FH wants her to be there and its not a big deal to add one more person to the list, then do it. If it doesnt matter to him either way if shes invited, then I wouldnt bother inviting her.

I think she would be offended if you invited her parents and her brother and not her...I think if you have enough space to invite her and fh wants it, you should just go for it...

i would say that if you are inviting the parents, best man, and NOT her, it would cause more drama than anything. just invite her and make sure that you let it be known that its just for HER and not her son.

if FH is adamant about wanting to invite her bc youre inviting BM and their parents, Id just invite her if you have room.

If the parents are invited, then I would invite her. Did your FH tell her she could come? If so, then it would be a definite invite in my opinion.
