As some of you might recall my quest: What I have in mind for my BMs is shades of orange, all different dresses, some solids, some prints....
Well after so long in searches at BM stores and only finding nice solids and no prints- I tried to extend my search to fabric stores, with the thinking that I'll get a couple dresses made...
No luck! I went to 4 stores today and hardly found anything. I did find a couple of cotton prints that were nice. Do you think a cotton dress would look appropriate?
Or should I just give up now and just get all solids????? I am really getting down about this!

Have you seen a professional dressmaker? If that's what you want so bad don't give up on it.

I am actually getting my dress made and am going backt o see her on thursday - so I am going to ask her- but I am worried her response will be like all the rest!

Andrea...the store listed for those dresses Jamie posted...Maid To Order...is so close to my house! That was actually one of the first stores I looked at for BM dresses.

oh really, jen! i'm gonna go to the one in merrick tomorrow cuz its right by my work- but then i'm gonna try the one in brlyn sometime this week- or at least try- i'll let you know when im gonna go

I think it would look great! I saw in a bridal mag a BP that was in tangerine, hot fuschia pink, and I think a kiwi/lime green....way cool. I think if you looked for fabric in more industrial/fashion places, you'll have better luck....also...I'm sure the colors are running seasonal so maybe in the spring you'll find some more patterns??

Yea, Im sure by spring I could find something but I am afraid to wait that long! dont want to order much past January!
