Should I invite her or no?

Original post by GettinHutched

I'm so bummed...I really can't add more people but you never do know what the response will be in the end.

I already had to add 2 more people! Actually that's four including spouses!

The woman that I replaced at my school is REALLY wonderful to me. She retired last year and I took over her position - I came in and visited the school last year and she showed me around. Then late last year, when I had to put together the holiday concerts and I was about to have a nervous breakdown, she had me come over to her place and help me go over the logistics. Anytime I'm frustrated or need help with the job, I can email her and she's always there.

I really don't see her much beyond that. I have lunch with one of her best friends every day (she hasn't retired yet) and she's invited. Now I feel like I have to invite Nancy (the teacher I replaced). I adore her and would love her to be there...but this guest list is outta control!!

What do I do? I know she'd understand...but I feel horrible. She's been more helpful than anyone!!!

Hrm. This is a toughie, sis. I'd say wait till you get a no or two. We're going through guest list growing pains over here, it gets harder and harder.

good luck!

if you're already over your limit then invite her.. but you can't invite EVERYBODY you know .. it gets out of hand and crowded and then nobody will have a good time.. but get her gift or something
