Should I let all my Bridesmaids know how much hair and makeup will be?
I am not paying for their hair and makeup, but I hired someone to come and do it all. Should I let my girls know before hand how much each one costs? I mean, they obviously have to know how much it will be. Would it be okay if I sent one email out to everyone letting them know. This way I will also have an idea of who is going to do it or not so I can tell the Makeup / hair girls?

Have you talked to your girl and let them knwo you are hiring someone to come and do there hair and makeup
Bc there are some girls who dont want to pay that money or would rather do to there regular hair dresser. Also i had a Bm who couldnt afford to have her make up done so she did it herself

Yes. I told everyone how much it was going to cost. That way they could decide if they were going to go with my vendor or go with someone on the outside.

i would give them an option...thats what i did....tell them prices of what you have or tell them to have hair and makeup done elsewhere and be ready by you at such and such time. i didnt tell them thwey HAD to get anything done...being that i am not paying....most are doing their own makeup and just going to their regular beautician for hair...that is MUCH less expensive then having your hair girl do it...but i would give them the choice... jmo

Well yeah, 2 of the girls are going to go somewhere else and get it done, but I was going to give them the prices I was given, and see if maybe they want to go with us instead.
I told everyone else i was going to find someone. I just didn't know if it was stupid to send out an email to everyone all at once. I didn't want it to come off like THIS IS WHAT YOU ARE GOING TO DO hah

Okay, Here is what I wrote:
I had my makeup and hair trials done with WONDERFUL people. Since some things depend on how many girls I am having them do the day of, just let me know if you are going to go with them or find someone else.
Karen, I know you and Jenna said you would go to someone else, but if you think the prices I got are better, just let me know if you want to go with them.
Hair- $__ Makeup- $__
I don't care what kind of hair styles anyone does. I am not going to sit here and tell everyone what I think they should look like lol
Please let me know if you are going to come to my mothers house the morning OF the wedding and have your hair and makeup done.
I will tell you, I have been to many makeup artists and every time, I didn't like what anyone has done to me, hair stylists also. The 2 girls I picked out are fabulous. I have no doubt that they will make everyone look fantastic.
We are all leaving in the Limo from my mothers house the day of. Maybe Karen , Jenna, Kim and Alex can get a ride from Kevin or from Aunt Nancy, this way no one will have their cars left out in North Babylon.
Please let me know as soon as you can so that I can make the arrangements. =D

absolutely. not only should ur girls know the cost involved, but the stylist & artist are going to have to have to have a headcount for a start time.

ABSOLUTELY. this way they can decide whether or not they can afford it and budget in advance if they decide yes!

I told them I was hiring someone and gave them the prices. Almost all of them went for having it done with my girl.

yep i told everyone and one bm said she couldn't swing it and had her friend help her out. Best bet is the lay it all out this way they can decide.

I sent an email to my bm's and told them that I was going to have hair and make up come to me and that if they wanted to use the same people then they were free to do so, i included the price in the email. I also made sure to tell them that there is no obligation to get hair and make up done by the same person. I knew at a salon they can get it for cheaper so didnt want them to feel they had to pay more. I also told them they can do what they want and if they want to do their own hair or make up or both then they were free to do that too.
But yeah you should ask bc this way they can make their own plans if they have to, plus you'll have to give hair and make up artist a headcount of how many they'll do ahead of time.

Definatly tell the price and let them know its optional-- esp. since they are paying for stuff already.

yes, I told mine as soon as i knew so they can decide if they even want their hair and/or make up done. Also, you have to let them know because they need to know how much to bring with them the day of your wedding

yes, I emailed everyone.. and then watched it turn into a little tiff, with people thinking they can get their hair done soooo much cheaper at a salon early that morning. I was thinking it was more convenient for us all, and was only slightly more $, plus i would cover the tip. needless to say, it didnt go over too well.. oh well, saves me $$ in the end.

I would definitely give them a heads up so they can be prepared especially beacuse you aren't paying for it. This way they know how much to bring with them the day of, they can prepare to spend that much especially if money's tight, or they can let you know beforehand if they just cannot afford it and have to go elsewhere.

Yes, you should tell the bridal party how much everything will be.
I consulted with my bridal party ahead of time about the prices and how much they thought was too much. I also covered the cost of touch ups at the Hall itself.

I'm not sure you should assume everyone wants to pay for their hair and makeup. I usually do my own for other people's weddings.
