I might need to lie on my invitations! Here's why:
My family is ALWAYS obnoxiously, ridiculously, rudely late to EVERYTHING. The mere thought of how late they will be to my wedding --considering all the money I'm paying -- makes my blood boil. Plus I need them to be ontime for the CH so I can do pics with them.
For my Engagement Party, I made two sets of invites. One for FHs family which had the actual start time of 8pm. The other set was for MY family and had 7pm as the start time.
Lo and behold, FHs family all showed up promptly at 8pm. Half of my family showed up (unknowningly on time) at 8pm. The other half showed up at 9pm!!!! One of the people that was 2 hours late (according to her invite) was my MOH!!! NOT ONE of my family members showed up BEFORE 8pm. How unbelievably RUDE is that?
Anyway, I was discussing this with one of my aunts and she was like -- 'oh, you really should put 2 hours earlier on the invites.' Easier said than done aunty-poo! She being one of the 9pmers.
That means I would have to order TWO sets of invitations which I can only imagine is going to make my invitations cost DOUBLE what I was planning to pay!! SO... I either have to bite the bullet and shell out for the two sets of invites OR be absolutely livid on my wedding day when my family waltzes in at 9pm to my 6:30pm wedding reception.
What would you do? Does anyone know if when I order my invites I can order half printed one way and half the other?
This is so stupid that I even have to consider this!

I feel your pain! My family is also notorious for being extremely late.
My ceremony is at 3:30pm. I put down 3pm for the ceremony. I met with my priest recently to discuss the ceremony and he told me that he could even start early. I laughed. If people arrive on time, I'll cartwheel down the aisle.
It's probably going to cost you more money to make two separate invites. I would just make the invite and reception card times 30mins earlier and have your family members spread the word that people should arrive on time! Now that I think about it, I put down the actual cocktail hour time...grrrrrrrr.....oh well...

I put 3:00 pm on my invites- I am a very prompt person, If people show up late to the ceremony, they will miss us getting married!!! I wait for no one, I am not going to put off my ceremony because a few inconsiderate people can't be there on time!!!!
