I did... I got my FH a Movado.
But we had a deal - haha! It's up to you. I know a lot of brides who did not.

Re: Should I or would it be nice?
wow! I don't know, I'm stumped! You've gotten very nice gifts!!!
I don't know, maybe an engagement gift for FI is not necessary. Like I said I know A LOT of brides who didn't buy one. Maybe you can take him away to celebrate, AC, Foxwoods, etc. I'm sorry, I'm stuck!
It seems like you've already gotten him everything he needs.

Re: Should I or would it be nice?
Oh, this is funny. I was planning on getting him a nice watch. I say planning, b/c FI approached me the other day and said a bunch of his friends have been asking what I got him??? He said to me, 'Do I get a gift?' so, I said, yes, but not for a while- I was hoping it would be a surprise. Soooooo- he told me that he wouldn't want a watch (as I wanted to get him a TAG) like the guys said he'd get.. .a timex does the same thing! So, as I hinted as the kind of ring I want (a whole new thread).... we concluded that since he loves playing the guitar and has always wanted this one model... that's what I will get him, a Les Paul Guitar.
what's w/ these guys asking if he's got a gift yet????

Re: Should I or would it be nice?
How about a car?
I think another watch would be nice, if he's into them. How about a Cartier?
Is he into sports? What about tickets to a game?
Does he have a Flat panel Plasma TV?
Does he fish/hunt? GC to sporting goods store?

Re: Should I or would it be nice?
I surprised FH with a Raymond Weil watch. I had the back engraved with a message that I thought would make him laugh. He told me he smiles every time he looks at it.I told him I'm the same way every time I look at my ring.
