Should I still tip the Florist?

I am only having my bo-k and my 3 girls bo-k don by them. So all they have to do is drop it off at the house. Then they are dropping the church flowers, but nothing major at all. I am NOT having CP's. I am doing candles.
They are charging me 75 bucks for delivery when gas cost a lot these days but no where near $ 75. Why do I have to tip them?
It's going to be like, Thanks for my flowers now have a nice day! It doe snot cost $75 for delivery, so there is the tip! Maybe I will change my mind...but I doubt it.

What do you guys think?

4 bo-k's including mine and one FG basket. (going to the house) $25 del charge

Chruch flowers and bows on pews $50 delivery charge.

Mind you the place is NOT far from the church and the house.

that's a rediculous delivery charge IMO. my florist is charing me $20, to deliver to Nassau Co. from NYC!

I wouldn't if they're charging me 75. On the other side though, your florist can be pocketing that money and the delivery drivers might not be seeing a dime of that money.

I tipped... but in your situation I wouldnt tip! 75 bucks!! They can consider THAT their tip!

I wouldnt tip! Just check to make sure everything is how you wanted it first and then say thanks and shut the door!

If your florist 'didn't' charge you for delivery (we all know they do somehow) what is the customary tip to give to the delivery guys?

I'd feel bad 4 the delivery guys. The delivery charge probably goes straight to the owner and who knows if these guys work off tips.

I never though of that... they will have to drop off the flowers for the cake only at the hall.... all other flowers at my house.. do I tip for that.. what if no one is at the hall???

They are probably charging you for delivery because you're a 'small' order. If you got centerpieces, etc. they probaby wouldn't. But that's just a guess on my part. The delivery guys aren't going to see any of that $75 though and what's another couple of $ to make someone's day?
