psst have you ever owned an aussie before? :)

love them but insane energy...they're a herding dog. you;re going to have to let that dog run bc if they're bored they're monster chewers.

This is what I was TRYING to explain to Kedra yesterday haha We live in a small apartment with a small yard and I'm worried it's not enough.

you could have someone come in and take the puppy out every day when you're not home. i mean its not impossible. i did it w a husky but really it was bad timing w me and my husky was an a hole. lol

herding dogs are just tough. they wanna run and if they get bored they nip at you bc its their instinct.

Get him, but definitely make sure he has no problems even if they are insured, there is always something these places will skip over!

LAURA YOU NEED TO GET HIM, IMMEDIATELY.

lola needs a friend

btw, lola is a pet shop pup, and although i understand the risks/problems involved with pet shop (puppy mill) puppies, they are still dogs that need a loving home! that's how i see it, so don't feel bad if you don't rescue or adopt from a breeder.

I'm iffy with pet store dogs. However, if thy're insured for up to 5 years, then go for it!

But get it checked out first!!

OMG I WANT A DOG!!!

Re: Should Laura Get This Puppy???

i love my puppy - but they are A LOT of work
and DON'T GET A PET STORE DOG!!

I made that mistake and now if toby looks at me wrong i'm worried there is something wrong with him.

he is a puppy mill dog- ALL STORE DOGS are puppy mill dogs.

we fell inlove with Toby - but we will never know how his parents were treated and if they were genetically healthy

I know you're inlove- but really think about it.

I LOVE MY BABY- but i cried for a day straight when i finally learned the truth about where he came from and the HORRIBLE conditions puppy mill dogs are kept in.

they give you the warranty because THEY KNOW your dog may very well be sickly and die :(

Get a dog- YES
but please please please find a breeder
OR ADOPT!!!

my next dog will be a rescue for sure

Re: Should Laura Get This Puppy???

ps - toby had kennel cough and worms when i got him

AND my girlfriend got a dog from a pet store and he died within 3 days of buying him - they gave her a replacement and the replacement died too after 4 days.

(i learned this after i got toby)

im sooo against pet stores now....

sorry to be such a pest about this - i just hate the puppy mill industry after what i learned tobys parents are going through

( i followed up on my dogs 'breeder' - he had MANY violations for poor breeding conditions) :(

Yes get it!! Is it weird that I'm jealous of a dog's eyes? hmmmmm (maybe should have kept that one to myself) hahaha.

aweee too cute ... i had a puppy mill dog with insurance stating that if the dog died within a certain amount of time then i can have a new one *** if my dog just died do you think i want a new one to replace him?!?!?!?
anyway hes alive and well but he has weak bones thus the two broken legs in one week which cost a fortune!!
